Railway information

PKP (Polskie Koleje Panstwowe) is the Polish State Railway Company. PKP offers for example the following services:

  • High standard international day trains to Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Prague and Vienna
  • High standard international night trains to Berlin, Budapest and Prague
  • All international trains have air-conditioned coaches
  • National Hotel trains running from Gdynia to Zakopane, from Kraków to Kolobrzeg and from Warsaw to Szczecin/Swinoujscie. These trains only have sleeping cars and couchettes and do not stop at intermediate stations.

Not only the international services are of a high standard, the domestic trains also offer qualified transportation in Poland. The national InterCity passenger network comprises 20 major towns with regular interval services on several routes. InterCity trains run at a speed up to 100 mph (160 km/h).

Narrow-Gauge Trains
This is specially for the romantic traveller. A network of narrow-gauge railways offers attractive routes for a nostalgic journey.

PKP offers journeys through picturesque corners of Poland on trains that consist of old locomotives and coaches. If required by customers, the program includes views of historic sights and objects, photo stops and picnics at a campfire.
