Railway information
Irish Rail provides a modern, comfortabel and frequent rail service to most parts of Ireland.
Iarnród Éirann, the Irish Transport Company, operate the following Intercity (long distance) trains:
- From Dublin Heuston to Cork, Tralee, Limerick, Galway, Westport, Ballina and Waterford
- From Dublin Connolly to Sligo, Belfast, Wexford, Rosslare Europort
Other InterCity Routes are:
- Cork to Tralee
- Cork to Limerick
- Limerick to Rosslare Europort
These InterCity trains also call at other stations on route (see InterCity timetables / map)
Enterprise Service (jointly operated with Northern Ireland Railways) operates on the Dublin/Belfast route

Suburban Services
In the Greater Dublin area the following suburban services operate:
- DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) is an electrified service (34 miles) along the East Coast operating from: Howth / Malahide (North) to Greystones (South) serving 3 stations in Dublin city centre, namely: Connolly, Tara Street and Pearse.
- ARROW: Dublin, Heuston to Kildare
- Other Suburban Services:
Dublin Connolly (also from Tara Street and Pearse) to Arklow, Co Wicklow.
Dublin Pearse to Drogheda and Dundalk Co Louth (also from Tara Street and Connolly)
Dublin Connolly to Maynooth Co Kildare
Dublin Heuston to Kildare
Cork to Cobh
